Anne-Marie Cade is an award-winning Lawyer, Mediator, a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner and Parenting Co-ordinator. She also has a Masters in Family Dispute Resolution and Negotiation.
She is the founder of the Parenting Coordination Institute and provides training in Parenting Coordination as well as education and resources to support the effective use of Parenting Coordination in family law.
She was granted a Churchill Fellowship and travelled internationally researching “Best Practice in Parenting Co-ordination as a dispute resolution tool after separation.” She published a report for the Winston Churchill Memorial Trust setting out her findings..
She has also been granted a Creswick Fellowship to develop an evidence based, trauma informed framework for family dispute resolution, mediation and parenting coordination tailored to the Australian context, informed by international j best practice in the UK, USA and Canada where trauma informed mediation and parenting coordination has been more fully developed and embedded into practice and court systems. She has recently returned from her travels and will be publishing her report on “Best practice in trauma informed mediation and parenting coordination shortly.”
She was named Australian Mediator of the Year 2023 at the Australasian Law Awards, Conflict Coach of the Year, Innovator of the Year and Project of the Year at the 2024 Australian Dispute Resolution Awards, and recently received the Service to Dispute Resolution Award from the Resolution Institute of Australia.
She is on the board of directors of the Australian Mediator and Dispute Resolution Accreditation Standards (AMDRAS) Board.
