Proactive incident management has many benefits for lawyers and law practices. It reduces the risk of complaints and claims being made by clients, prevents financial loss and reputational damage, and can improve the quality of the work environment.
This is why is it is critical for all lawyers and law practices – no matter their size – to take a proactive approach to incident management. This course provides a framework designed to assist lawyers to:
- identify and respond to incidents, issues and breaches;
- use suitable processes to manage these when they arise; and
- act to appropriately prepare for incidents, or prevent these if possible.
Using a structured six-stage approach to incident management, combined with illustrative scenarios, you will learn how to readily apply this knowledge in your day to day practice.
