This course discusses the different threats to the integrity of the jury system, both internal and external. It has a particular focus on how the rapid development and widespread adoption of new technologies has impacted on the system. The course explores recent cases and research from Australia and other common law jurisdictions including the US, UK, Canada and New Zealand.
 
The course also examines the measures being taken in Australia and other jurisdictions to address the problems facing the jury system.
