Peter Lochore is a barrister practicing predominantly in civil litigation, with extensive experience in counter-terrorism and emergency law.
Prior to commencing at the independent bar in February 2015, Peter was an Assistant State Solicitor within the State Solicitor’s Office (WA) where he worked in the area of counter-terrorism law since in late 2004.
In 2009, Peter completed his LLM at Columbia Law School, with a focus on national security law. After returning to Perth he worked for a further 5 years at the State Solicitor’s Office. For this period he was the senior legal advisor to the State of Western Australia on matters of national security, counter-terrorism and emergency management. In the course of this role Peter led the legal team advising WA Police during the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM Perth 2011).
